The Neighborhood
For more than a century the Randolph Street Market has been the heart of the city’s food distribution center. Since the beginning, a good portion of the restaurants in Chicago have procured their milk, eggs, produce and meats in the countless warehouses up and down Randolph and Lake Streets. In the late 1980s, the neighborhood began to change, with artists, photographers and advertising agencies utilizing the large loft spaces for their own creative process. After that, the restaurants and hip clubs followed. These days, Randolph Street Market still caters to the finest restaurants in the city—restaurants that are now sprinkled among the warehouses, lofts and galleries.

Eyefire is in the very heart of this vibrant district, just a short cab ride from downtown. The finest restaurants, museums and art galleries Chicago is known for are just minutes away. And both O’Hare and Midway airports are easily accessible.
